Collaborative visits of Bulgarian scientists to DIAS will take place in order to work on space weather-related research projects. Researchers at DIAS already have experience in the delivery of such single station training. Four days of informal 20-25 min research talks, followed by working in parallel data analysis groups with specific tasks. Ultimate goal is to analyse solar eruptive events with the aim of producing a publication.
The event was held across three locations: DIAS Burlinton road offices, DIAS Dunsink Observatory and the School of Physics in Trinity College Dublin during the week of 21-25th February 2022.
The first part of the visit consisted of a series of research talks to inform the work of the two groups. Thereafter, for the rest of the week the two teams worked in parallel data analysis groups with specific tasks to analyse eruptive solar events. This collaboration will be carried forward in future visits with the prospective addition to other collaboration members.
