STELLAR Final Conference

The STELLAR project’s final conference was held between July 06-08, 2023 in the historic city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. It is one of the oldest living cities in the world, with a rich history and vibrant present. Plovdiv was a European Capital of Culture 2019, and regularly hosts art and culture events.

Venue and Accommodation

The conference was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Plovdiv Center hotel, situated conveniently close to the center of the city and the Old Plovdiv neighbourhood. A special hotel rate for participants can be accessed here.

Getting to Plovdiv

Plovdiv is an 1.5-hour drive southeast from Sofia, and is also located on the classic ‘Orient Express’ train route. It is easily accessible from Sofia airport via the A1 highway. There is a regular bus service from Sofia’s main bus station.
Plovdiv has its own airport, with a number of low-cost flight options.
