A space weather school was held in Bulgaria in the last year of the project, scheduled for month 33. The school followed in time the introductory LOFAR Science School (WP3-T6). The IANAO was leading the curriculum development for the school, with assistance and supervision from the highly experienced ASTRON and DIAS project team members.
The organization of the summer school was completed by the IANAO team. As a suitable venue was selected the National Astronomical Observatory (NAO) – Rozhen.
According to the STELLAR schedule, the summer school took place for one week in June 2023, from 19th to 23rd.
The selection of participants was done by the LOC team at IANAO based on the provided CVs and motivation during the application process. The majority of the applicants were approved for attendance at the summer school. The lectures were held in English. Having a laptop and Google account were required, as all training was done on the personal laptops. The technical assistants at IANAO created user accounts at the IANAO servers that were tested and used during the previous STELLAR school, as well as providing additional hardware resources. Special software and Jupyter notebooks were set up prior to the school according to the school program.
